lowerprimaryThe Early Childhood games in this series have a focus on guided play and mathematics outcomes. They have been designed to give students an opportunity to have some enjoyment when learning about place value. Another focus is on the mathematical language of addition and subtraction.

The number knowledge in the games ranges from early whole number for 5 year olds through to the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, money and some fractions for 9 year olds and #older students depending on their needs. The games include a progression of whole number place value knowledge from early number up to and beyond one hundred and up to and beyond 1000.

The students are involved in reading, writing, manipulating materials, mental calculations of whole numbers, money and fractions. Students are asked to reflect on what number their manipulative material represents and whether they have to add or subtract.
